Head of Technology - Splint Invest team

At Holycode we are looking for a Head of Engineering to join our team, Splint Invest.  

Splint Invest is an ambitious FinTech mobile app that leverages technology to empower our users’ financial journeys. Our ecosystem includes websites, mobile applications, web servers and multiple third-party integrations, each contributing to a seamless and secure user experience as well as allowing us to make data-driven marketing and business decisions.
The Role

We are seeking a Head of Technology to lead our engineering strategy, ensure technical excellence, and scale our platform. You will manage the full development lifecycle, build and mentor a high-performing team, and partner closely with the Head of Product to deliver secure, scalable, and impactful features. The role has a strong frontend focus, but requires solid backend knowledge in Python.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and long-term roadmap.
• Lead and mentor frontend and backend developers, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Oversee end-to-end development cycles, release management, and deployments.
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and security across systems and operations.
• Optimize infrastructure performance and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to scope, plan, and deliver features.
• Introduce modern tools, frameworks, and best practices.

Requirements

Must-Haves:

• Proven experience as Head of Technology, CTO, or senior engineering leader.
• Hands-on experience with React Native (required).
• Solid backend development experience with Python.
• Strong background in frontend technologies, with emphasis on mobile applications.
• Experience scaling reliable and secure platforms.
• Solid knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure.
• Track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Fintech or investment platform experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance.
• Previous startup experience.

Tech Focus

• Frontend/Mobile: React Native (must-have), ideally Next.js.
• Backend: Python (must-have), familiarity in Firebase and Django
