Senior DevOps Engineer - Aktiia team
We at Holycode are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong skills and proven experience to join our Aktiia (Hilo) team here in our Belgrade office.

Tech you’ll use: Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible, Python, Java, MySQL, MongoDB, AWS, ELK Stack, Prom Stack, Bitbucket.
Challenging things you’ll work on:
- Configure, run, maintain, and improve production and staging environments.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA on configuration and release management.
- Contribute to system architecture focused on security, scalability, maintainability, cost, and performance using Infrastructure as Code best practices..
- Develop and implement strategies for reliability, disaster recovery, and backups.
- You’re metrics-driven. You turn logs, metrics, and traces into insights designing SLIs/SLOs, spotting bottlenecks, and improving performance end-to-end.
- Contribute to internal IT security strategy and execution.
- Implement infrastructure for build automation and CI/CD; drive end-to-end toolchain automation.
- Ensure operations of internal tools and support teams (certificate management, user management, etc.).
What you’ll need:
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years as a DevOps Engineer or similar.
- Strong experience with AWS (EC2, ALB, ECS/EKS, ASG, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS,
- Lambda, CloudWatch, Sagemaker, WAF, AMG, Cloudtrail). AWS certification is a plus.
- Experience with MongoDB Atlas is welcome.
- Excellent knowledge of Unix/Linux.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, MongoDB).
- Hands-on with at least two of: Terraform, git, Bitbucket, CircleCI, Pulumi, Maven, Gradle, Docker/Kubernetes, Ansible.
- Structured, independent, and outcome-focused work style; strong analytical skills.
- You are fluent in English.
