Java Engineer - Baloise team

Holycode is looking for a Java Engineer ready to dive into the Baloise team, for a full-time engagement and join our team of passionate tech professionals in our Belgrade office. 

Baloise Versicherungen is a non-life (P&C) and life insurer with divisions in 4 countries (Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg).
In our projects for our non-life property software solutions in Switzerland and Germany we are working together with Guidewire (an US-company) – one of the leading software suppliers for P&C software. In Switzerland we are running Policy Center (a great success story started in 2014), Billing Center and Datahub in production. We are looking for new (nearshore) colleague to strengthen our team.

Your skillset:

-  At least 4 years of relevant work experience with software development specifically working with JVM based languages.
-  Willing to understand and challenge customer needs and problems to build smart solutions using Guidewire OOTB.
-  Ability to strive for good software design and architecture.
-  Agile mindset: being curious, knowledge sharing, problem solver and getting things done.
-  Relevant work experience working in an agile team willing to ship high quality software.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

-  Experience in P&C Insurance Domain is an advantage
-  2 years of experience working with Guidewire PolicyCenter and Gosu is preferred.
-  Certified Guidewire PolicyCenter developer or integration specialist (no prerequisites)
-  Knowing development cycle including Scrum, IDE (preferably IntelliJ), Unit Tests, git, CI/CD
-  Experience in implementing software integrations using state-of-the-art technologies Spring  Boot, REST, SOAP, and Kafka
-  Experience with Openshift, Kubernetes and CI/CD (git ops, Jenkins, argoCD)
