Tech/Team Lead - Carauktion team

We at Holycode are currently looking for a Tech/Team Lead to join our new team, Carauktion.

Carauktion was founded in 2004 because of the need of the automotive industry and affiliated industries for an efficient, transparent and profitable vehicle remarketing business.

What began as a vehicle Internet auction platform continued to expand increasingly, because of the high requirements and expectations of the customers. Now Carauktion comprises four independent areas of business which fully cover the successful vehicle remarketing business. It serves as the hub of the profitable vehicle remarketing industry, as a marketplace for supply and demand, as a data supplier of qualitative “business to business” sales figures or as the company’s own platform for the issue of licenses.

At the core of their efforts is the professional assumption of your remarketing process. With the various upstream and downstream Services linked to the sales process, Carauktion is the ideal outsourcing partner, concerned not only with professional sales but also able to take the load off your shoulders completely.

Core Competencies Needed:

Technical Leadership & Team Building:

• Experience managing engineering teams or squads from scratch.
• Hands-on involvement in technical architecture decisions and leading technical discussions.

Software Architecture & Development:

• Experience transitioning from monolithic systems to decentralized, event-driven architectures.

Programming & Technical Stack:

• Expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with cloud services like Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of database systems.

Project Management & Product Ownership:

• Experience working closely with Product Managers on long-term product vision and roadmaps.
• Involvement in defining and delivering on product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Problem Solving & Optimization:

• Proven success in solving technical challenges and optimizing systems for better performance.
• Experience with DevOps practices and infrastructure management.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in backend development, system architecture, and team management, with a track record of leading technical teams and delivering successful projects.
• Industry Expertise: Automotive IT
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Node.js, Java, and cloud services like GCP, with experience in managing microservices architecture.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, team leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
