Senior Full-Stack (Svelte/React/Python) Engineer - Lightly team

Holycode is looking for a Full-Stack (Svelte/React/Python) Engineer ready to start a once in a lifetime project inside the Lightly team.

At the ETH spin-off Lightly, we build software solutions to help companies improve their deep learning models. The available data for deep learning grows faster than human tagging and available compute power. Our customers already face this problem and have too much data to process. As a solution, we built software to identify and work with the most relevant samples only. Learn more about us on our website.

We are a team of talented developers and researchers in Zurich and are backed by YCombinator. Every member of the team is going to have a massive impact.
Thus, we are looking for an experienced engineer with lots of passion for the subject. We offer attractive cash- & equity package for you to become part-owner of Lightly. emote or WFH work is possible.

We use a modern stack of:
        Typescript, Svelte/React, Python, NodeJS, C++
        Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Terraform, MongoDB

Tasks:

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you are working directly with our core product. Your responsibilities will include building, improving, and deploying our software.

Particularly, you will get to:

• Design and implement new features across the stack.
• Build parts of the software stack, mostly on the Frontend side.
• Collaborate on backend development in Python (FastAPI) when needed
• Design and implement the architecture and infrastructure with a focus on high performance and scalability when handling millions of data points.
• Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the codebases, infrastructure, and processes you will encounter.
• Research and implement new technologies and solutions.

Requirements:

Ideally, you have:

• At least 5 years of experience in building, managing, and deploying applications into big infrastructures.
• Excellent coding skills in TypeScript, Svelte/React (or similar) and Python (FastAPI) with focus on the Frontend side. C++ and Rust are a bonus.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, frontend performance, and user experience best practices.
• Experience with building and shipping software solutions.
• A strong passion for new technologies and interest in keeping up with the latest technologies.
• A creative, collaborative, and product-focused mindset.
• Knowledge in Machine Learning and experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a bonus.
