About the Role

We’re looking for a Hands-on Engineering Manager who can think like a product manager and build like an engineer.

You’ll own the Technical Delivery for our Product Development team and serve as the primary partner for Product Design and the CPO on solution design and decision-making.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, product, UX, and business. You can unblock developers fast, and help the team move from idea → implementation → measurable impact.

You’ll stay close enough to the work to understand constraints and guide direction, but far enough to make business-minded trade-offs and drive the team toward outcomes, not just output.

Note: This role blends technical leadership with product thinking. It is not a pure engineering role nor a pure PM role. It’s for someone who can own the “how,” influence the “what,” and help us ship learning-driven solutions quickly.

Your responsibilities

Team Leadership & Delivery (≈50%)

• Manage sprint planning, team workload, delivery targets, and estimates.
• Unblock developers quickly, technically, and organizationally.
• Facilitate discovery, document decisions, and ensure clarity across the team.
• Drive high-quality execution from exploration to rollout.
• Moderate retros, planning sessions, grooming, and cross-functional meetings.
• Take ownership of delivery reliability, predictability, and quality.

Technical Contribution (≈50%)

• Sparring, reviews, and occasional coding.
• Provide technical direction and ensure solutions are scalable, simple, and maintainable.
• Make quick, pragmatic decisions in UX and system design when needed.

Product & Experimentation Mindset

• Work closely with Product and Design to connect engineering to user behavior.
• Prioritize impact: focus the team on experiments, outcomes, and learning cycles.
• Translate business needs into actionable, measurable technical work.
• Continuously improve how we build, validate, ship, and iterate.

People & Line Management

• Provide clear feedback, coaching, and professional development support.
• Foster a culture of ownership, curiosity, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Promote data-informed decision-making and a strong product mindset within engineering.

About You

You are a technical leader who naturally steps into the role of solution owner. You can zoom into code details and zoom out into product and business implications.
