We at Holycode are currently looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join our new team, Calvin Risk.
Calvin Risk is a Swiss-based start-up helping companies create and manage trustworthy AI that is
aligned with humanity. Founded in 2022 as an ETH Zurich spin-off, the company is building the
most advanced platform for assessing risks associated with AI in commercial use and managing
them throughout the entire product lifecycle. The Calvin platform creates a much-needed
framework for transparency, governance and standardization for enterprises to manage their AI
portfolios, while ensuring that AI remains safe and compliant with the highest ethical standards and
impending regulatory requirements.
This is a rare opportunity to join at the earliest stages as a senior engineer and help shape both
the product and the codebase from the ground up. We’re a small, ambitious team where every
person has high leverage and high trust. We’re guided by principles of respect, ownership, and
long-term thinking. We believe that solving hard problems should be both meaningful and fun.
What You'll Do
• Build intuitive, responsive UIs with a focus on usability and client focus.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features, from collaborating on specs to implementing
those.
• Help shape the frontend architecture decisions and advocate for best practices.
• Contribute to a culture of speed and learning by sharing knowledge, embracing feedback,
and using AI tools to work smarter.
What We’re Looking For
• You're an experienced software engineer with a strong frontend focus (especially Next.js).
• You are passionate about building good UI and UX that solve real problems.
• You’re comfortable working across the stack and can handle typical backend tasks
independently (e.g. adding endpoints, adjusting models, writing serializers). We use Django
DRF as backend, but familiarity with any modern API framework is sufficient.
• You use tools like Cursor and Copilot to accelerate your work without outsourcing your
thinking.
• You move quickly and don’t get blocked easily. You’re resourceful, self-directed, and
energized by building.
