Project Engineer - LzLabs team
We at Holycode are currently looking for a Project Engineer with strong skills and proven experience who is ready to dive into the LzLabs project team for a full-time engagement, to join our company of passionate IT professionals.

Position Overview:
We are seeking for a skilled Project Engineer with a strong foundation in Linux systems, scripting languages, and automation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving abilities, a knack for improvisation, and a proactive mindset. As a Project Engineer, you are responsible for identifying and implementing software solutions suitable for the modernization of a customer’s enterprise IT landscape. This includes designing technical concepts and migration strategies, using LzLabs’ SDM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Modernize enterprise IT systems into the SDM solution and implement proofs of concept
- Create and manage high performing business critical system environments
- Maintain automation scripts using languages such as shell or Python.
- Identify and troubleshoot complex issues and develop innovative software solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional international teams to implement project requirements effectively
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders
- Assist quality assurance through release cycles in testing new features, enhancements and bug fixes
Must-Have Skills:
- Ability to improvise and adapt to dynamic situations, willingness to learn continuously. Flexible, outside of the box thinking whilst trying different solutions
- Problem-solving mentality with exceptional analytical skills.
- System and Linux engineering skills in combination with an understanding of enterprise software architecture, internet technologies, IT systems and infrastructure
- Customer’s requirements analysis and mainframe migration solution design
- Strong knowledge of at least one scripting language such as shell or Python
- Experience with automation and scripting to streamline processes.
- Eager to learn and dive deep into LzLabs’ product, demonstrating a genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring new environments
- Flair for communication and interest in cross-function collaboration pushing a project forward
- Flexibility to work on-site at the client's infrastructure
Optional ("Jackpot") Skills:
- Good understanding of z/OS Mainframe development
- Fluent in German and/or French
