We at Holycode are currently looking for a Data Engineer with strong skills and proven experience who is ready to dive into the Stableton project team, for a part-time or full-time engagement, to join our company of passionate IT professionals.

Role Description:

The Data Team at Stableton makes information available and actionable to clients, decision-makers, and business units likewise. From user personalization to secondary market pricing, as a Data Engineer, you will be exposed to a variety of use cases across Stableton's value chain, playing a crucial role in enabling a top-notch user experience. You will directly report to the Head of Engineering and play a crucial role in Stableton's journey to provide the leading service in Alternative Investments based on data intelligence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Write data pipelines to extract, transform and load (ETL) data automatically, using a variety of traditional as well as large-scale distributed technologies.
  • Write and maintain crawlers that aggregate data from various sources and make sure that data is of good quality.
  • Extend and optimize the current services and applications by making large amounts of data accessible for both our analytics engineers and our clients.
  • Help build a reliable, sustainable, and scalable data infrastructure.


Requirements:

  • 2+ years of work experience with automated data collection and cleaning.
  • You are proficient in both, Python and SQL which you will be using daily. Java/Scala is a plus.
  • Reading API documentation is your daily business and REST, as well as GraphQL requests, aren't a challenge for you anymore.
  • Familiarity with relational data stores (PostgreSQL, Redshift) and file storage (AWS S3) is helping you load the extracted data.
  • Your analytical mindset helps you to identify and resolve bugs and performance issues promptly.
  • You understand the value of collaboration within teams. You are comfortable with asynchronous communication, being able to work independently while always sharing context with your team members.
  • Nice to have / eager to learn: DBT, Fivetran, Narrator, PowerBI
  • Strongly preferred: Fintech/Investment experience
