Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to take on a leadership role within one of our high-performing teams. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead technical innovation, influence engineering strategies, and create a meaningful, lasting impact.

As a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) you will lead Engineering and IT organizations, defining and executing a technology strategy that ensures high availability, security, and scalability. This role reports directly to the CEO and is a key part of the executive leadership team, shaping both technical and business strategy. You will drive innovation, oversee technology operations, and lead the evolution of the company’s technical and engineering culture. Additionally, you will be responsible for defining and driving long-term technology vision, ensuring alignment with both business growth and emerging industry trends. By fostering strong collaboration between engineering, product, and executive teams, you will position our team at the forefront of AI infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a robust IT Operations model, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
• Define and execute the technology roadmap and vision, aligning with product strategy to drive sustainable and competitive growth.
• Own and manage the technology budget and financial planning, in close collaboration with the CEO and CFO, ensuring alignment with business priorities and financial goals.
• Lead and scale the Engineering and IT teams, fostering a high-performance culture and driving team growth through hiring and development.
• Drive technical strategy, innovation, and transformation to align with long-term business objectives.
• Oversee infrastructure, security, compliance, scalability, and IT operations to align with industry best practices.
• Obtain ISO certification and regulatory compliance to maintain operational integrity and security standards.
• Own vendor and partner relationships, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Mentor and develop team leads and senior engineers, strengthening leadership capabilities and refining engineering frameworks.
• Work closely with the CPO and product management team to align technology execution with product vision.
• Partner with the C-suite to align engineering and IT with overall business strategy.
• Drive structured transformation initiatives, optimizing workflows and fostering collaboration between technical and business teams.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Leadership & Strategy
  • Proven track record of leading and transforming engineering organizations.
  • Experience in compliance, security, and risk management in cloud environments.
  • Ability to scale and optimize high-performing engineering teams.
• Technical Expertise
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security frameworks (AWS, OpenStack, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with data center architecture, virtualization (KVM, BHyve), and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad).
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices, release engineering, and reliability (CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible).
  • Understanding of storage (Ceph, ZFS), networking protocols (BGP , TLS, VPN), and performance optimizations (SPDK, DPDK).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Rust).
  • Relevant experience in Data/AI, including MLOps, data pipelines, and AI frameworks is desirable.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
